Hi, I’m Harrison.

I build the hardware, write the firmware, and make the software that connects to it.

I’m a computer science student graduating in December 2026, looking for embedded systems, firmware, and software engineering roles. I’m based in Knoxville and open to relocating.

From code to something you can hold

I started with web and mobile apps. Working with an ESP32 brought me into circuit design, soldering, and building enclosures. Now I enjoy working across those pieces: reading a sensor, getting the firmware right, and making the result useful on a screen or through a physical control.

My projects give me a reason to learn each part of that process. I document the design decisions and the problems I run into, alongside the source code and working demos.

HC Air Monitor

A USB-C desk monitor built around an ESP32-C3 and BME688. I designed and assembled the PCB, printed its enclosure, and wrote the ESP-IDF firmware and browser instrument.

I’m now developing its Bluetooth-connected SwiftUI app: live readings, lighting controls, and optional saved history. Recent work focuses on clear sensor-readiness feedback and more responsive controls.

ESP32 robotic claw

A printed gripper with an ESP32-hosted control page. The device provides its own Wi-Fi network and browser interface.

An ESP32, a stepper motor, and headlights controlled from a SwiftUI iPad app. A small project connecting native software to moving hardware.

Firmware & electronics: C / C++, ESP-IDF, ESP32, I²C, SPI, UART, KiCad, EasyEDA, soldering and rework.
Apps & web: Swift / SwiftUI, Bluetooth, JavaScript, Firebase Authentication, Firestore, and Cloud Functions.
Building & testing: Python, OpenCV, Git, command-line tooling, 3D modeling, and printed enclosures.
