About
Harrison

CS student, graduating December 2026. Looking for embedded systems and firmware roles — open to general software engineering too. Based in Knoxville, Tennessee, and open to relocating.

Software in, hardware out

I came into computer science through software — web apps, Firebase backends, a native iOS app — and then made the mistake of buying one ESP32. Over the last nine months that turned into soldering, I2C/SPI/UART, PCB design, and 3D-modeling enclosures, and it's now the work I reach for first: many of the builds on this site are ESP32 hardware projects, from a robotic claw that serves its own web dashboard to a custom air-quality PCB built for under $30.

The software background didn't get replaced — it's what makes the hardware work feel complete. The firmware, the app that talks to it, and the site documenting it all are the same project to me, and everything here is live: you can chat with the AI, sign into the database, spin the PCB in 3D, and watch every machine run.
